NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
2026 ANNUAL AGENCY PLAN
JELLICO HOUSING AUTHORITY
Notice is hereby given to the residents of Jellico Housing Authority, the citizens of Jellico, and all persons interested, that the housing authority is required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Section 511 of the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of 1998 Final Rule to submit a Public Housing Agency Plan.
The Annual Agency Plan provides details about the Housing Authority’s proposed development plans, administration and operational policy changes for 2026-2030. The Five-Year Capital Fund Action Plan lists the proposed capital improvement plans for 2026-2030.
Prior to submission of the Annual Agency Plan to HUD, we are soliciting comments and suggestions. We will be conducting a Public Hearing on Thursday, April 9, 2026 at 11:30 a.m., at Jellico Housing Authority, 120 Bacon Street in Jellico, Tennessee, to discuss the proposed plans. All residents are invited to attend.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, you may submit written comments regarding the Annual Agency Plan to Ms. Crystal Creekmore, Executive Director, Jellico Housing Authority, PO Box 240, Jellico, Tennessee 37762. Written comments will be received through April 9, 2026 at 4:00 p.m.
WHO WE ARE
Jellico Housing Authority was established in approximately 1956 with the first units being completed on Logan/Robbins, Provins, and Moore Street. Additional units were built in 1965-1966 and completing the final units in 1973 for a total of 124.

PUBLIC HOUSING
Public housing was established to provide decent and safe rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Public housing comes in all sizes and types, from scattered single-family houses to Highrise apartments for elderly families.
DEVELOPMENTS
Our units are what is know as "Scattered Sites" as they are scattered throughout the City of Jellico. We have one location that is designated for Elderly mainly. It is located on Broad Street. Our other locations range in sizes from the zero bedroom (efficiency units) to the largest units we have, the 5 bedrooms.
